Excise tax
The special excise duty on electronic cigarettes came into force in January 2017 for ready‑to‑vape liquids and was extended to flavorshots and aromas in October 2025.
Under these provisions, the Greek authority introduced a tax of €0.10 per ml on all liquids, both those containing nicotine and those without nicotine.
Specifically, the new tax applies to liquids that may be imported from third countries, from other EU Member States, or to products of domestic production.
